Disparition Live at HM157

Disparition performing mostly new material at HM157’s community benefit held on September 4.

On Friday, September 4, 2026, Disparition played a 45-minute set at the historic rooms and open-air courtyard of HM157 in Lincoln Heights as part of an evening of music, art, and community solidarity. The showcase served a dual purpose: raising critical funds to help sustain HM157 as a living historic monument and creative sanctuary while also funding meals for people living in the area without homes or shelter.

HM157 (the Horace P. Dibble House was first built in the 1880s and has a horror legacy with a possibly apocryphal link to murder. It’s also been an anchor in Los Angeles’s underground arts scene and grassroots mutual aid networks for roughly the last two decades, hosting film shoots, live shows, and more. Disparition’s set included mostly new material performed publicly for only the second time.

Alongside Disparition, the evening’s bill featured boisterous sets by Boustrophedon and Tinglez, framed by an impeccably curated DJ set from Richard E of Further Out Recordings, creating a cohesive arc of sound that ranged from intricate ambient-acoustic to stripped down industrial to rave-adjacent disco.
